The Edit menu is not used by this program; it is present only for use by desk accessaries. When you start up the program, the menu title is displayed in gray to indicate that it is not active. If you open a desk accessary, the menu will be enabled. However, the commands in the edit menu will only be available when the active window belongs to a desk accessary.
